My response to being in nature is an imagination that does not stop growing. I learn so much from the movement of the clouds, a pile of stones scattered in a valley, a half-burnt piece of wood or a stone washed ashore.

Such images are reflected in my work. I’m not trying to immitate nature; instead, I am letting nature embrace my original ideas and I am challenging common conventions and rules used in traditional pottery making.

I stumbled upon ceramics in an attempt to find a universal means of expression and discover a language that speaks directly to memory.

I genuinely perceive the labor of a potter as a series of humble artprints across the history of humanity.

A story that we rewrite using just our hands, clay, water and fire.
